Camp Wastahi is nestled amongst the
redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains on over
200 acres at the Daybreak Camp facility.

Camp Wastahi has one or more nurses (RN or LVN certified) on-site throughout our week at camp.
All counselors are required to be CPR and First Aid certified.
Background checks are conducted on all camp staff and volunteers.
A certified lifeguard attends all pool activities.
All food preparers are California Food Handler certified.
All counselors and staff participate in in-depth training prior to camp that includes our risk management plans.
All campers are taught specific safety rules on the first day of the session by their counselors. These are reviewed with everyone at the first all-camp campfire.
An all-camp emergency drill is conducted on the first morning at camp.
If we are required to evacuate the campground you will be contacted on where you may pick up your child. We have off-site emergency contact people on standby for such an event.
Wastahi 2022 COVID19 Precautions: We are monitoring closely, the ever-changing regulations of Santa Cruz and Santa Clara Counties. This year we are requiring ALL perticipants (Campers and Volunteer Staff to be fully immunized, boosted, and to provide a negative PCR test dated within 3 days of the begining of the camp session.
